When God called Moses to go to Pharaoh and lead the Israelites out of Egypt, he made himself available and responded to God’s call despite his reservations. But for many, they may be available, yet they fail to answer God’s call.
So, what happens when we fail to answer God’s call?
When we fail to answer God’s call, we often miss the purpose and blessing He has intended for us. Jonah ran from God and ended up in a storm he created himself (Jonah 1:4). Delayed obedience causes spiritual impatience. James 4:17 warns, “If anyone knows the good they ought to do and doesn’t do it, it is sin.” Still, even when we hesitate, God, in His mercy, continues to invite us back. Like Peter, who failed but was restored, we too can return and be used by God.
The good news is this: God’s call isn’t to burden us but to bless us. When we answer, He empowers us, saying, as He said to Moses, “I will be with you.”

Amos warned Israel about being dazzled by wealth while ignoring justice… and wow, doesn’t that sound like today? From tech billionaires to luxury living, glitter can blind us. But God is calling us higher. 🙌
